Premium Bandai has opened May pre-orders for a series of 45th Anniversary commemorative Kamen Rider genuine leather jackets, in collaboration with Harold’s Gear (HGDG). Harold’s Gear is a boutique maker of vintage style motorcycle gear. They specialize in high-end craftsmanship, with each jacket made in Japan at every stage, from the tanning of the leather to the final stitching.
They come in three variants, which only differ on the color of their lining: Rider 1 (olive green), Rider 2 (red) and Shocker Rider (orange). Each jacket is 151,200 yen and available in sizes M-XL (sizing chart at the end of this post).
These jackets feature subtle design touches (particularly the side stripes and the wings on the back) to symbolize Kamen Rider 1 & 2. The jackets are specifically designed to be worn on motorcycles: the sleeves are longer than fashion jackets and the arm design takes into account the rider’s posture. The order page notes that they are intended, not to be worn, but to be used.
As stated before, the only difference between the jackets is the color of their lining: Rider 1 (olive green), Rider 2 (red) and Shocker Rider (orange).
Each jacket is made from Japanese cow leather, with a polyester interior lining. There are several interior pockets for utility. These items can only be ordered through a middleman service.
